Introducing Our First Impact Report

We’re proud to share a major milestone, the publication of our first ever Impact Report.

For over 75 years, Prosper has supported community groups, charities and social organisations across the Wakefield district. Along the way, we’ve seen first-hand the difference that local funding, trust and long-term relationships can make. This Impact Report brings that story together for the first time, capturing not just what we fund, but the real change that funding helps to create across the district.

Why an Impact Report?

As a local funder, we know how important it is to be open and accountable, and to learn continuously from the organisations and communities we support. This report gives us the opportunity to reflect on our work, understand our impact more clearly, and share what we’ve learned with our partners, stakeholders and wider community.

It also gives a platform to the voices that matter most, the community organisations and leaders who are making things happen on the ground every day.

What’s inside the report

The Impact Report highlights:

  • The reach of Prosper’s grant funding across the Wakefield district
  • The outcomes achieved by community groups and charities we support
  • Stories and insights from funded organisations
  • The wider social value created through local, place-based funding

Together, these insights help to show how investment in grassroots organisations strengthens communities, tackles inequality and supports people where it matters most.

Looking ahead
This report is not the end of the conversation it’s the beginning. As we continue to evolve our grant-making and strengthen our partnerships, understanding our impact will remain central to what we do.

We’re incredibly grateful to the organisations who shared their experiences and data, and to everyone who plays a part in Prosper’s work. Your honesty, commitment and passion make this impact possible.
