The Prosper Wakefield District Small Grants are for organisations working within the Wakefield District. The programme is unrestricted funding and available to local organisations tackling poverty and inequality, with a focus improving the health, wellbeing, and overall fulfilment of local people. Whether you’re strengthening your organisation, creating safe and inclusive spaces, or delivering vital services, this funding is here to back your work.

We are particularly interested in VCSE organisations working with adults (18+) and those based in or supporting communities within the most deprived key areas of the district* including: Airedale/Ferry Fryston, City Centre, Eastmoor, Featherstone, Flanshaw, Hemsworth, Kinsley/Fitzwilliam/Rycroft, Knottingley, Lupset, Normanton, South Kirkby and South Elmsall.

Unrestricted grants are available up to £5,000.

 If you require the application form in any other format please get in touch with us and we will look to support you wherever possible. If you are unable to fill out the application form for any reason, please get in touch and we can support with the writing or discuss alternative ways that you can apply for a Prosper Small Grant.

You are invited to attend one of our informal online drop-in support sessions on 30th June or 28th July 2026. Links will be emailed to all applicants upon request and will be advertised on our social media channels

Closing date for all applications is 16th September 2026, applications will be shared with the panel on a month by month basis, so please try and get your application in as soon as possible.
