We're hiring a Community Insight Coordinator!

Community Insight Co-ordinator

Are you a passionate, people-centric, and organised individual eager to make a real difference in the lives of communities across the Wakefield District? If so, we have an incredible opportunity just for you!

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, driven, and collaborative team player who thrives on innovation and is deeply committed to creating positive change. If you’re someone who loves working with people, can think on your feet, and uses their enthusiasm to inspire others, this role will allow you to shine.

This is a brand-new, pioneering role—an open canvas for you to bring your ideas, shape your own path, and develop systems and strategies as part of the Health Determinants Research Collaboration Programme (HDRC). We’re looking for someone who embraces change and sees it as a chance to grow, adapt, and make an impact. You’ll be the key force behind driving the Community Insight element, designing the ‘what, when, where, and how’ of a transformative district-wide programme.

Working as part of the HDRC you’ll be recruiting, training and developing processes and systems, deploying and supporting the community researchers and community journalists, as well as deciding how we will use their insights to make positive change decisions about how we deliver health improvements in the district.

HDRCs are partnerships between local authorities, communities and the academic sector to improve health and well-being through research.

This is your chance to leave your mark on a groundbreaking initiative that will have a lasting, positive impact on the health and well-being of Wakefield’s residents. It’s not just a job—it’s a chance to be part of something truly transformative.

Sounds great! What skills are we looking for?

An understanding of the VCSE (Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise) sector is essential for this role as is experience managing multiple stakeholders and a passion for the wellbeing of people living within the Wakefield district.

Knowledge of GDPR is desirable to help navigate legal requirements and ensure the protection of personal data.
