Five Towns Christian Fellowship

Police, Fire and Charity working together to improve the skatepark

We recently gave Five Towns Christian Fellowship a grant for £9,000 from our 2024 Small Grants Round to address the root causes of anti-social behaviour at King George Skatepark in Castleford.

Five Towns Christian Fellowship have worked across the Wakefield district for 40 years and give individuals the tools they need to improve their lives and to overcome obstacles. They work in partnership with other providers to deliver a variety of projects across a range of age groups, from school children to the elderly.

We asked Five Towns Christian Fellowship what it means to get this grant from us;

“We’re so thankful to Prosper for helping us work in partnership with other local organisations to begin to tackle what has been a long term issue within our community. The funding has gone directly on delivery costs to not only engage with the young people down at the park, but also to offer early intervention at the local primary school and engage with other young people in Castleford who are on the street.

Without the funding from Prosper the work to reduce anti-social behaviour would not have been possible”
