Mike Holt

An economist by training and a Chartered Town Planner, Mike has a background of 30 years in Local Government, serving in a number of urban authorities in the West Midlands and West Yorkshire. For 12 years he ran his own consultancy, with specialisms in business and project development, business planning and developing links between local government, the community and voluntary sector in different parts of the north of England. For the past 23 years Mike has been Chair of Trustees of St George’s Lupset Ltd, which he helped set up, and which has grown into an effective, charitable company and social enterprise, serving several important communities in West Wakefield.
Mike was Chair of the NOVA Wakefield District between 2013 and 2023 and contributed to the development of the Third Sector in the District. In 2023 he became a trustee of Age UK Wakefield District.
