Fujitsu Volunteer at Wakefield Hospice

Fujitsu volunteer at Wakefield Hospice warehouse sorting clothing

Wakefield Hospice welcomed two teams of volunteers from Fujitsu to their warehouse in June 2024.

Following a successful stock appeal Wakefield Hospice had a backlog of donated items, so Prosper put them in touch with Fujitsu, who were looking for volunteering activities to support the local area.  The volunteer team were tasked with helping the warehouse staff to sort and price tag clothes, shoes and accessories so that they can quickly be transferred to one of the eight charity shops. This ensured sufficient stock levels to generate income from the retail operation.

Izabella Perrone from Fujitsu said, “The volunteer days went really well, we have a lot more eager volunteers so we’re in the process of organising more volunteer days with Wakefield Hospice in the coming weeks.”

“The team of volunteers from Fujitsu were quick to learn and very helpful to have in the warehouse.”
