Abby Cook

Abby is Director of Made By Bramble, a Wakefield-based web design and development agency, and has spent nearly 15 years helping charities and businesses create better digital experiences. Her work spans website strategy, user experience, design and development, with a particular focus on making digital platforms clearer, more accessible and more effective for the people who rely on them.

Having worked with charities of all sizes throughout her career, Abby is particularly passionate about the role smaller, locally rooted organisations play within their communities. These are often the organisations delivering support directly to people every day, responding to local needs and making a tangible difference, and Abby believes it is vital that they are given the opportunity to grow, strengthen and continue that work.

Abby became a Trustee at Prosper to play a more active role within Wakefield’s charity and community sector, while bringing her experience in digital strategy, user experience and communications to the organisation. She also brings an analytical approach to processes and problem-solving, with a keen eye for where things can be made clearer, simpler and more efficient. Through her role as Trustee, she hopes to support Prosper in working as effectively as possible, helping it to direct more resource towards grant-making and, ultimately, support more people and organisations across the Wakefield district.
